Starbucks Gets In The St. Patrick's Day Spirit With A New Frappucino
Strap in for a caffeine-filled week, Starbucks fans, because this St. Patrick's Day, the java giant is delivering again with a pot o' liquid gold — or should we say green — for the taste buds. Starting March 12, the Green Mermaid is rolling out her new Luck of the Matcha Crème Frappuccino at all participating spots ... not just Starbucks Reserve locations. This St. Paddy's Day-inspired beverage is blended with creamy matcha, sweet caramel syrup, milk, and ice, (like all fraps) topped with whipped cream and drizzled with caramel syrup, and finished with a crunchy caramel-sugar topping.
However, if you want to get your hands on one of these delightful drinks, you'll have to act fast. Just like a Leprechaun is there one minute and gone the next, this bev won't be around for long; Starbucks is only planning to serve their Luck of the Matcha Crème Frappuccino from March 12 through March 17. But lucky for fans, that's not the only deal it's serving up as part of the St. Paddy's Day celebration.
Starbucks is also doing a BOGO
On March 14, Starbucks Rewards members will be able to take advantage of a buy one, get one free deal on handcrafted beverages from 12 to 6 pm local time. The BOGO bargain can be applied to a drink of equal or lesser value, up to $10 max. Reward members can apply the deal by purchasing through the Starbucks app or by ordering in-store and asking the barista to apply the discount inside. We're afraid to say you're out of luck if you want to apply the deal by ordering through Starbucks Delivers, Uber Eats, or DoorDash, as it won't be applied.
The new offerings are limited to the stock on hand, so you may want to get there early to ensure you get a chance to take advantage. Or, you might enjoy an opportunity to break away from the ho-hum regularity of your favorite latte and try one of the other new goodies Starbucks has just released.
More new beverages to try at Starbucks this week
While the Luck of the Matcha Crème Frappuccino is sure to receive lots of love, it isn't the only unique beverage being offered this week. Starbucks has also recently rolled out the Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha. This menu item is a smooth mix of green tea matcha and oat milk topped with a floral lavender cold foam. Another fresh release is the Lavender Oatmilk Latte, which can be ordered hot or iced. It's a blend of Starbucks Blonde espresso with an accent of lavender.
