How Many Mini Crumbl Cookies Equal A Regular-Sized One?

Since you currently can't buy Crumbl cookies from the grocery store — although you might be able to buy Crumbl cereal when and where it's available — we have often found ourselves making the journey to the company's signature pink bakeries for a fix of our favorite sweets. One of the reasons why Crumbl cookies are so popular is that the chain offers a rotating menu that changes from week to week. In April 2024, however, the bakery giant upped the ante and rolled out "mini" versions of its enormous signature cookies that offered a more diminutive bite. You may be wondering, however, how many minis it takes to add up to one full-sized Crumbl cookie. The answer is ... well, it depends on which metric you use.

Size-wise, a regular Crumbl cookie has a diameter of around 4.25 inches, with some variance expected. A mini is about 2.5 inches across. Running the numbers, that means that one mini has roughly 1/3 the surface area of one full-sized specimen (yeah, we hate math as well). In terms of calories, that can vary drastically by flavor (keep quality in mind, too, as when we ranked the best and worst Crumbl cookie flavors). At the time of writing, a New York Cheesecake cookie had 850 calories, while its corresponding mini had 360. That means that a mini cookie was only 42.4% as calorically dense as its "big" cousin, and you'd need slightly more than two to make up one cookie. Keep in mind that some minis only contain a third as many calories as one regular cookie.

Crumbl's mini pricing strategy is complicated

In terms of content, it seems that you need somewhere between two and three mini cookies to make up for one normal cookie, but things go kind of cockeyed when you bring price into the equation. As of this writing, a standard Crumbl cookie sells for $4.49, special edition cookies like the Dubai chocolate brownie notwithstanding. Mini cookies are not sold individually but come in a 3-pack minimum for $8.49, which puts them at $2.83 apiece. If you assume that you need at least two mini cookies to make up for one big cookie, that's not a great value. Some have theorized that, because mini cookies are smaller, it takes more exacting labor to decorate them as prettily as a regular cookie. If price-for-size is your biggest criterion, mini cookies may not be worth the cost.

Keep in mind, however, that Crumbl's wide range of flavors is its biggest appeal, and that minis are an easier (and cheaper) way to try multiple flavors than buying many big cookies. Also, those big cookies are huge. Buying three regular cookies is enough accumulated cookie to feed a family, while three minis might be just right for a couple days' worth of snacks for one person. In short, there are many factors that go into deciding whether mini Crumbl cookies or full-sized ones are the best buy for you, and you should consider your own situation when determining value. Either way, your purchase will likely put a smile on your face.
