On the roster of the best products to buy at Aldi are its seasonal items, which are normally tied to the festivities of a specific time of year. For October 2025, you can expect to see offerings celebrating the season of the harvest, along with everything you need to Monster Mash in the lead-up to Halloween. Aldi's lack of brand name products is by design, as its private labels offer exceptional quality at tremendous savings, which makes it the cheapest grocery store in the United States. So, while competitors might be stocking up on orange Oreo cookies and sugar skull-shaped Peeps candy, you'll find a whole selection of bespoke goodies that are only available at Aldi. Even better, they're all priced to move. 

The following are some of our favorite new Aldi items for October. Keep in mind that availability may vary from location to location and that the retailer's holiday products tend to sell out fast. If something catches your eye, don't wait long to ride your broom down to your local store and snatch it up! 

Your Halloween chacuterie selection is going to absolutely pop off with four haunting flavors: Wensleydale Cheese with Cinnamon, Ginger, and Nutmeg; Bat Knit Crazy Cheddar; Freaky Franken Sage Derby; and Death by Garlic Black Garlic Cheddar. The cheeses are available on 10/01 and sell for $4.49 apiece. If you need some ideas, keep in mind that apple and cheddar cheese are an underrated pairing and look great together on a fall board. 

Even the littlest goblins in your family can get a playful ooky-spooky feeling for the season when eating a bowl of this Halloweeny pasta shaped like spiders, owls, and other gently wicked symbols of October. Avoid this mistake when you're saucing pasta, and your post trick-or-treat dinner is good to go! Aldi will stock this pantry staple on 10/01 and it will sell for $2.29 per bag.

When we ranked frozen grocery store pizza brands, we discovered that the best specimens had something unique going for them. We were already fans of Aldi's Mama Cozzi's brand of freezer pies, but these seasonal pizzas shaped like pumpkins and ghosts are both cute and delicious ... a combination that gets us every time. They hit shelves on 10/01 and sell for just $4.99 apiece.

The best bread to use for French toast is arguably brioche, as an exclusive Foodie interview confirmed, and we cannot wait to get our hands on this pumpkin spice-infused loaf for Sunday morning breakfast. Sweet-and-savory ham and Swiss sandwiches will also be on the menu, by the way ... heavy on the Dijon mustard, and maybe toasted with maple butter? When you're craving a treat slightly more substantial than a fun-sized Hershey chocolate bar (or any other candy that Americans splurge on for Halloween), reach for one of these scratch-made mini cakes, which come in either Sticky Toffee or Apple Cider varieties. Lest you forget, October is about more than just candy ... it's also peak season for lots of fruit and veg. We learned a pro tip for harvesting butternut squash, but we're grateful to Aldi for making things really easy and putting it in ravioli, along with a pumpkin and sage variety. The key to an effortless dinner (just add brown butter and cheese!), these are available 10/08 and sell for $3.69 per package. 

Is cheesecake pie or cake? A better question is, do you want to serve pumpkin spice cheesecake for Halloween or Thanksgiving? Why not both? There's no end to our pumpkin spice passion, and combining that love with cheesecake just feels right. Available 10/15 at a selling price of $6.29, we'll be making some room in our freezers and keeping our options open.

There are some mistakes everyone makes cooking mushrooms — and fall is an exciting time for foraging or at least enjoying this hearty ingredient, making these errors more likely — but Aldi took the guesswork out of preparing our favorite fungi, dishing up a rich and savory mushroom and truffle-sauced flatbread just as filling as (and a bit more elegant than) a pizza. We dig the idea of tossing a baggie in our lunchboxes or even bringing it along for a lengthy car ride to the local haunted house. 

Aldi is awash in great chocolate bars, so it doesn't surprise us that the chain has gifted us with another cocoa-covered banger for autumn, this time in the freezer section. You can buy up chocolate-enrobed nuggets of either caramel or apple pie, complete with a crust layer, which are perfectly bite-sized and snackable. Give the M&M's to the kiddos and save these for the grown-ups! Available on 10/22, they sell for $5.49 per package.
