We're always sat for new McDonald's hacks that promise a tastier or more exciting meal. Who didn't get hype about the thought of steaming your Quarter Pounder buns or adding Big Mac sauce to a Filet-O-Fish? After an enlightening TikTok from former McD's executive chef Mike Haracz, however, we've discovered an Egg McMuffin hack that's so genius and yet so simple that we'll be ordering it every single time we hit the breakfast line, guaranteed. Two words — "grill seasoning" — are about to add mega flavor to your sammie.

The origins of the McDonald's Egg McMuffin came about when a franchisee wanted a spin on eggs Benedict, but he likely never predicted how beloved his creation would turn out to be. The substitution of butter for margarine on the sandwich was a corporate ingredient swap that eventually made the McMuffin much better, but asking for grill seasoning stands to amp up your sandwich even more. 

As Haracz explains it, the round egg that comes standard with a McMuffin isn't seasoned.
