Some questions in life don't actually beg an answer, like the query of why Costco's pizza is so good. We just know that we absolutely love it. Whether you pick up the 'za as a whole pie or by the slice — even though you're technically overspending when you go with just a slice at a time — it makes the "Costco experience" (wearisome travel to the crowded warehouse, negotiating the packed parking lot, and taking great pains not to bust your budget) all worthwhile. Melty cheese! Ample toppings! Pillowy crust! What if we told you, however, that you could totally upgrade your Costco pizza with one condiment, and that Costco even sells it right on the warehouse shelves? The answer, dear friends, is chili crisp ... and the addition is about to rock your world.

As seen in a TikTok by @nate_eatz, Costco sells the popular Fly By Jing brand of chili crisp in generous two-packs. Pick up a bundle or, heck, bring your own in your purse or extra shopping bag. When you order your pizza, simply drizzle a generous amount of the spicy, crunchy, garlicky oil over your pizza, and whoomp, there it is! Your pizza has a zest that is totally craveable, with minimal effort or expense. As we said, you can certainly pick up your chili crisp at Costco and keep things to a one-stop shop, but many of us already have chili crisp sitting in our pantries. The bottle is small and portable, so you can bring it with you if you know you'll be ordering pizza.

For the most voracious flavor-seekers out there, we offer one additional tip for kicking your Costco pizza to culinary nirvana. Remember when we discussed a free topping that would automatically upgrade your Costco pizza? The answer was raw diced onion, and we're a big fan of augmenting our chili crisp hack with this food court freebie.
