Every card-carrying member of Costco knows that what the popular warehouse store giveth, it can also taketh, often with very little warning. Kirkland Signature's semi-sweet chocolate chips were back, to the delight of cookie bakers everywhere, and Costco's own-brand sports drink hit the aisles with a fresh look and new flavors. But while they prompted cheers of joy, we've been left gnashing our teeth at seeing that dreaded death star on so many well-loved products.

Sometimes a product simply doesn't sell enough for Costco to give it shelf space (we're looking at you, Jif crunchy peanut butter), while others are hoofed out because of changing seasons. From a viral summer wine, and beloved burger staple, to a delicious fruit snack that was many people's go-to, we dug through the online rumours to find out which beloved products Costco has discontinued in 2026. Shoppers were somewhere between sad and devastated when it emerged that Costco had nixed this popular protein from its American stores in around June 2026.
