The Best New Trader Joe's Items Of 2026 You Need To Grab While You Can

As 2026 approaches its midpoint, we're looking back fondly on the Trader Joe's items that we've fallen in love with so far this year. Sometimes we peek in on the best new TJ's finds (like we did in April 2026), and we enjoy them so much that we buy them again and again until they run out. On that note, keep in mind that many items on this list are limited-time buys whose time has come and gone already, but given TJ's propensity for bringing popular items back, watch out for them in the future! Many items are available subject to time and location. Of course, there are also perennial faves like Trader Joe's Pound Plus chocolate bars (though we're still investigating who makes those) that are carried year-round, and we appreciate those as well. Part of really savoring Trader Joe's is accepting that, as shoppers, we need to stay flexible and open to new experiences.

From the best munchies for a snack attack to some dinnertime essentials, Trader Joe's has been keeping us busy by rolling out some fantastic new products so far this year. What will the second half of the year bring? We aren't sure, but we're very excited to find out!

Spicy Spuds

Sure, you can grow potatoes in a pot to save space ... or you can buy them already cut, seasoned, and frozen! Trader Joe's Spicy Spuds shine not only as a side dish for meals from breakfast to dinner, but they also work as a versatile ingredient in hashes and omelets, just to name a few. As consummate lovers of potatoes, we went gaga for these tubers, which remind us to no small extent of Spanish patatas bravas, a popular tapa.

Morning Buns

Chocolate croissants are always high on our list of products to buy at Trader Joe's, and the similarities with these amazing Morning Buns can't be dismissed. Just proof the dough overnight and bake it in the morning (hence the name!) for a zesty, sweet pastry flavored by cinnamon and orange. The result's flaky and crispy in all the right ways. Perhaps dab them with a pat of high-quality butter just before serving? These have rocked our world in 2026, and we look forward to more special mornings in the future.

Sweet Cannoli Dip

Remember how the world's biggest cannolo was the size of a (small) whale? When you're having slightly less grandiose cravings for cannoli, this dip will get you right. It's meant to mimic the sweet, savory filling of a cannolo with its ricotta base spiked with vanilla. We think that sprinkling on some chocolate chips and scooping it up with a graham cracker would be absolutely delightful. Or, if you're feeling inventive, bake up two sheets of golden sponge and layer this dip in the middle with a chocolate ganache for an unforgettable cake!

Toasted Coconut Mini Sheet Cake

Whether your local Trader Joe's is the busiest one of all or plopped in the middle of suburbia, you gotta have its sheet cakes. Chocolate and vanilla are standard fare, but its limited-time options always bring the flavor, and this toasted coconut cake is no different. It gets big flavor and textural interest from the flecks of toasted coconut on top, and is sized perfectly for sharing. We can see kicking back in the evening with some decaf coffee and a succulent square of this rich dessert.

Chicken Gyoza Potstickers

Instead of splurging on one of the unhealthy dishes you should think twice before ordering from a Chinese restaurant, how about cooking up some of these chicken gyoza, or potstickers? Steam 'em over your pot of rice, fry 'em crispy, or dunk 'em in some chicken soup ... you'll be a happy camper in every scenario. All you need is the right sauce, which you can concoct starting with a soy sauce and sesame oil base, then seasoning to suit your own preferences regarding sweetness, spiciness, and saltiness.

Quinoa and Black Bean Infused Tortilla Chips

The right tortilla chip is a crucial thing, especially when you figure out the difference between pico de gallo and salsa. A wimpy, under-flavored chip will torpedo your enjoyment of that sauce, while a great chip adds tremendously to your dipping experience. The nutty flavor of these corn chips, infused with quinoa and black beans, will thrill you and hold up to even the most piquant condiments. They also feel heartier than a normal corn chip, which is texturally and experientially satisfying.

The OG (Old Goat) Aged Goat Cheese

The 10-month aging of this goat cheese results in a much firmer product than fresh goat cheese, which more easily crumbles rather than the way this one slices. You'll love the resulting sharp, intense flavor punch of "old goat" cheese, the name of which simply refers to the fact that it's not chevre. Just keep in mind how long opened goat cheese lasts in the fridge ... probably not a concern, given how fast we devour it! As a treat, grate it over some pasta and thank us later.

Earl Grey Blondie Bars

There exists a best time to add milk to your tea, but how about adding tea to your baked goods? We think you'll be charmed by the spiced savor of these blondies infused with the floral, citrus taste of Earl Grey tea. Not surprisingly, they go just perfectly with a cup of tea as part of an indulgent breakfast or as a little afternoon snack. The crunch of the crystal sugar up top is better than any icing, we think. They're generally only available in the springtime, so get 'em while the grabbing is good!

Garlic Butter Irish Potato Chips

When Trader Joe's premiered its garlic butter chips, we rejoiced. Now, they're back, and our snacking is about to be superior ... for as long as they're available, of course. If you love garlic and you love butter (and really, that covers a lot of the population), you'll adore the rich, umami taste of these chips, made all the better by the ridges that trap flavor. Packed in your lunch bag with an ordinary sandwich, your lunch just got a (delightfully stinky) breath of originality.

Protein Pancakes

Cottage cheese. Egg whites. Oat flour. With these protein-riffic ingredients, no wonder that one pack of these small protein pancakes could become one of the foods with more protein than eggs! As a bonus, the addition of sugar and vanilla means that they taste delicious as well. All they need is a quick jaunt through the microwave, and you're ready to start your morning off with a heavy dose of nutrition and body fuel that doesn't taste like a chalky protein shake. Add some butter and a drizzle of real maple syrup for maximum enjoyment.
