The snack selection at Trader Joe's is a glorious thing, representing a broad and magnificent assortment that almost never fails to put a smile on the face of even the grumpiest shopper. With phenomenal flavors and unmatched selection, this tiki-themed grocer always brings the goods when it comes to unique and intriguing munchies that we just have to pick up, even if the items in question weren't on our original shopping list. From treats for pickle lovers to little sweets that satiate late-in-the-day cravings, we're forever being inspired by the snack variety on display, whether that's at the smallest Trader Joe's store tucked away in Boston or the busiest Trader Joe's, located in NYC.

In 2026, to date, we've been spoiled for choice when it comes to snacky-snacks. Each month, in fact, sees the drop of new items, many of which are themed to the changing seasons and holidays. Just for funsies, we've brought you an item per month that satisfied both our cravings and our wallets, guaranteeing delish flavors and great prices alike. We've found the original product listing for every item highlighted, but keep in mind that some snacks may be gone for the year ... or even indefinitely. One thing's for sure: as time wears on, know that we only have more new treats to uncover at Trader Joe's on future shopping trips.

Raspberry Oat Bites

When these eminently snackable filled oat cakes (which TJ's democratically refers to as "bites") burst onto the scene in January, we forecast a New Year filled with tart sweetness. We know how to prep a smoothie in half the time thanks to homemade smoothie packs, but that can't possibly beat the convenience of these soft-baked treats with their satisfying, oat-y bite and swoon-worthy fruity middle. We enjoyed throwing one in a backpack or purse all month long, whether we were en route to school, work, or (how meta!) the grocery store.

Jubilant Sprinkle Cookies

There's usually plenty of sweetness to go around in February, that month of Valentine's Day confections, which is exactly why we appreciate the understated charms of these cookies that debuted in the second month of 2026. Even two-ingredient pineapple cake seems complicated compared to popping open a bag of sprinkle-adorned cookie crisps with their festive shapes and birthday cake flavor. Honestly, "jubilant" is a great word for how it felt to nom on a handful of these crunchy snack cookies, especially in the midst of those familiar winter doldrums.

Ranch Flavored Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips

In honor of its TJ's Hall of Fame Chili & Lime Flavored Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips, March saw the grocer introduce a spin-off that cribbed a bit more from Cool Ranch Doritos instead of Takis. We've long covered Trader Joe's Irish Garlic Butter chips, which always get a lot of digital ink spilled when they reappear from the vault, but we'll also take these delightful crisps that are rolled up into a cylinder and absolutely drenched in flavor. Rolled chips are just more fun to eat, honestly.

Garlic Butter Nut Mix

As we weathered any April showers that might have been part of the forecast, our springtime was made happily nuttier by this umami-forward, crunchy snack mix that joined Trader Joe's shelves in the fourth month of the year. You might have served these with crackers and fruit on charcuterie boards for more variety, or simply nommed them by the handful ... though hopefully the garlic butter dust didn't give you away. Mixed nuts can be a splashy splurge, but these were fairly priced for a generous container.

Potato Cheese Sticks

The month of May was absolutely spud-tastic because of these inimitable batons of potato, batter, and cheese that were fried up in the style of Korean corn dogs like the love child of a mozz stick and a French fry. While we sometimes have to field questions like "can you eat green potatoes" (answer: you really shouldn't), there was equal consternation among us over the right condiment for these snacks. Ketchup? Mayo? Marinara? We never found a "correct" answer, but we also never found a bad option.

Garlic Shrimp Chips

June, the first month of summer in the northern hemisphere, was an appropriate time for Trader Joe's to roll out a mass-market shrimp crisp that bowled us over with big flavor. Prawn crisps don't strictly make the list of the unhealthiest dishes you can order at a Chinese restaurant, but we crave them all the same — and having them right in a bag at home sometimes felt too powerful. Perhaps it shouldn't have been this easy to chow down on something so crunchy, garlicky, and yummy, but Trader Joe's gave it to us anyway.

Rainbow's End Trail Mix Bars

A new arrival in July, these trail mix bars were dubbed a delicious sweet treat by hikers and couch potatoes alike. While trail mix can feel like it's mostly peanuts thanks to cost calculations, Trader Joe's Rainbow's End trail mix has won raves for over 20 years and counting. Nuts, dried fruit, and chocolate-coated goodness awaited in these boxed bars, which packed ample nourishment with all the thrill of downing a candy bar. They made the perfect treat for sneaking into summer blockbusters at the movie theater.

Dark Chocolate Bark with Pistachios, Dried Jalapeños & Sea Salt

Sweet, spicy, nutty, and salty by turns, this complex snack burst onto the scene in August. There are many types of chocolate, all with different uses, but we always appreciate dark chocolate for how well it pairs with unexpected savory applications. The piquant kiss of chilis and the umami of pistachio put us in mind of a Mexican mole in the best way, keeping this indulgent, mature treat from ever seeming cloying.

Taco Seasoned Beef Stick

We brake for jerky, and this unique beef stick that hit shelves in September was no exception. While beef jerky was one of the most famous of the foods that cowboys ate on the trail, we doubt that those wranglers ever scarfed down dried meat in a convenient stick form, not least once that was seasoned with the essence of a crave-worthy taco. With 10 grams of protein per stick and no added sugar, it was also a snack that we could fit into our daily macros. Cha-ching!
